Welcome
Welcome to our Medical Staffing recruitment
site. Salford Royal Hospitals NHS Trust is a recognised centre
of excellence for multidisciplinary research and development and
includes a strong University of Manchester research presence as
well as research active Trust NHS departments.
Hope Hospital is a University Teaching Hospital and is a campus
for approximately one quarter of the clinical academic activity
of The University of Manchester. Grant income of over £6m
and NHS R&D support of £ 2.7m each year supports over
300 research projects and more than 300 peer-reviewed papers are
published per year.
The Trust's major Research Themes focus on local clinical and academic expertise in Dermatology, Diabetes, Gastrointestinal Science, Injury Research and Neurosciences although there are many other active researchers within the Trust in other disciplines. The Trust and University work closely to foster academic excellence and are always keen to provide advice to clinicians seeking research experience and academic development.
The R&D website provides further contact information and details about the research going on within the Trust in addition to information on research practicalities such as obtaining funding, statistical advice, ethical approval and more.
The site also has details for each of the Trust's Research Themes and their activities with contact details for each of them. Research is an important, some might say essential, part of medical training but time and careful planning are essential - so please make contact early if you are considering undertaking research as part of your career development.
